Origin & purpose

The Digos City Public Cemetery has served as the city's primary public burial ground for generations of Digueño families, administered by the City Government of Digos through the cemetery office and the Office of the City Economic Enterprise Management (OCEEM). Like most local government-run cemeteries in the Philippines, the facility evolved from traditional lawn-lot burials into a high-density layout integrating apartment-type niches and bone crypts to support the city's growing population.

MEMORIA was engineered to provide this critical public service with a modern, data-driven backbone. It replaces manual, decentralized record-keeping with an intelligent Geographic Information System (GIS) and AI-driven occupancy forecasting—ensuring that every burial plot is accurately mapped, contract lifecycles are strictly monitored, and families can easily locate their loved ones.

Every lawn lot, apartment-type niche, and bone crypt is geographically plotted on an interactive map, synchronized with its real-time occupancy status, burial record, and family contract.

For families and the public, MEMORIA offers a seamless, no-login search portal that converts a deceased name or grave ID into an exact map coordinate—supplemented by physical QR codes on niches for instant on-site lookup. For the Cemetery Office and OCEEM, the platform automates burial registration, exhumation protocols, and contract expirations, while utilizing AI-based mortality rate modeling to forecast future space allocation needs.
